9/14: Field Hockey vs. Flint Hill, (L 1-0)
Field Hockey fell to Flint Hill, 0-1, with a goal scored by the Huskies in the last quarter. Goalie, Ava Stewart ’23 played the entire game and had 19 saves — coming in at an impressive 95% save rate.
Thursday’s game at St. Stephen’s St. Agnes School was rained out and will be played October 12 at SSSAS at 4:15 p.m.
9/14: Varsity Soccer vs. EHS, (L 5-0)
Soccer dropped to EHS at home . They are looking to secure their first win of the season as they take on Bullis, Georgetown Day, and Mercersburg Academy this week.
Thursday’s game at Stone Ridge was rained out and will be played on October 28 at Stone Ridge at 4:15 p.m.
9/14: JV Soccer @ EHS, (W 3-1)
JV Soccer team traveled to Episcopal High School on Tuesday to secure their first win of the season. Goals were earned by Marin Hoang ’22, Hailey Rook ’25, and Sydney George ‘25. Caroline Alsina ’23 had a solid performance in goal and held off the Maroons attack.
Thursday’s home game vs Brookewood was rained out and will be played on October 12 at 4:15 p.m. at home.
9/14: JV Volleyball @ Potomac (W 2-0)
JV Volleyball scored their first win Tuesday evening against the Potomac Panthers. The Snails came out on top in the first set (25-10) and the second set (25-21). Mallory Jirout '25 was outstanding on offense and defense.. Nia Thomas ’25 and Lily Heimbach ’24, were stellar on offense with short tips and a short ace. The squad looks to keep up the momentum as they look forward to three matches next week.
9/14: JV Tennis @ St. Andrews (W 7-0)
JV Tennis secured their first win of season versus St. Andrew’s in a 7-0 sweep. Doubles partners Nidhi Gumpella ’23 and Marin Watters ’24 had an outstanding performance.
Thursday’s game at National Cathedral School was rained out and is currently not scheduled to be replayed.
9/14: Varsity Volleyball @ Potomac (L 3-1)
The Snails fell to the Potomac Panthers in four sets on Tuesday. Madeira looks ahead to this week as they match up against Holton-Arms, St. Andrew’s and Mercersburg Academy.

Tennis will go head-to-head with Georgetown Day, Bullis, and Mercersburg Academy as they look to grab their first win of the season.
