• Alumnae Spotlight: Mika Brzezinski's Second Act

  12.22.08 The Washington Post has published a feature story about Mika Brzezinski, class of 1985. The article focuses on Brzezinkski's role as co-host of MSNBC's morning show as well as her new syndicated radio show with Joe Scarborough. In October 2007, Ms. Brzezinkski spoke at Parents' Weekend. • Madeira Girls Represent Canada at MOAS

  12.16.08 Ten Madeira girls participated in a four day long Model Organization of American States conference from Dec 3-6. Madeira represented Canada at the 27th MOAS conference. Working in pairs, girls researched, wrote, debated and passed resolutions on such issues as human trafficking, promotion of regional trade agreements, hemispheric security, budgetary affairs, and the phenomenon of seasonal migration.
